What to expect

I offer a wide range of therapeutic approaches (CBT/DBT) to address various mental health needs. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, addiction, trauma or anything else.
I love to include my dog Frankie in therapy sessions . Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT) has been proven to be very beneficial for Neurodivergent children and young people. So this can be included as a treatment offer if appropriate.

I also offer psycho education for families around a ADHD/ASD diagnosis and practical support that might be needed post diagnosis.

First session would be the assessment session, therefor being slightly longer (90 mins). It's really important that I have as much information as possible to be able to develop the most appropriate treatment plan. This first session can include parents as well as the young person. Subsequent sessions will be 60 minutes.

Reaching out for support when your child or teenager is going through a tough time is really scary. You doubt your ability as a parent and can feel worried and overwhelmed.
I understand all of those feelings, both as a parent ,and a mental health professional.
I am here to guide you and your family through this difficult time, listen, offer support, advice and show you that you are not alone!
Your child might benefit from a short course of therapy sessions with a particular focus. Or more of a longer term systemic approach that includes the whole family and/or school or other services.
I also offer assessment reports to support applications for EHCP,DLA or PIP.
